Committees
If would like to join a committee, you may sign up at any Austin IPLA meeting or contact our President.
Program: The purpose of this Committee is to make recommendations for and arrange for Continuing Legal Education Programs or other events of interest to the Association's members.
Outstanding Inventor Award: This Committee solicits and reviews nominations for, and recommends an inventor or joint inventors to be recognized with, the Austin IPLA's Annual "Outstanding Inventor Award," which is presented at the Annual Dinner in the fall.
Public Relations and Education (Inactive): The purpose of this Committee is evolving. In the past, it has been responsible for the content and maintenance of our website. Other potential purposes include community outreach programs. The chair would have flexibility in determining an appropriate purpose and goals.
Legislative Affairs and By-Laws (Inactive): The purpose of this Committee is to review pertinent pending legislation and new laws or regulations of interest to our Association and to report to the membership. The Committee is also responsible for maintaining the Bylaws of the Association and making recommendations for amendments as appropriate.
Membership (Inactive): The purpose of this Committee is to encourage growth in the membership of the Association.
